First musings - a virgin blogger.

Welcome to the first blog from the armchair.  Random musings from a Devon front room when there is something to get off the chest, may be a rant may be humerous, all with the best of taste, if the readers disagree, leave a message.

Today was a day where I went into the town centre and was glad I was a pedestrian.  A combination of roadworks and an accident made the town centre of Axminster chocca.  Those moving around on foot getting to where they were going quicker.  I was convinced that some vehicles were going around in ever decreasing circles.

The past week was one of those where I was doing battle with the care system and it is only when you deal with it, you realise how broken it actually is.  Any way where help was needed to be given sidestepping looked to be an art form, I became sure that the people I was dealing with had expert training in it.  The sad thing is, the people on the front line were fantastic, working in a system that has become uncaring.  We are told to ask for help then made to feel guilty after asking.

The downer of the day was where I learnt that a family friend was in hospital.  Seems like it has been a year for it.  Hope he gets well soon.
